Please pop your email address in the sign up box to receive a notification as soon as this workshop has been scheduled.
This will be a fun, welcoming class and is suitable for those who are already comfortable with knit and purl stitches. Full demonstration will be given along with lots of tips to help you start a beautiful brioche cowl.
There will be plenty opportunity to ask questions and trouble shoot any problems you might be having throughout the workshop.
The pattern will be emailed to you in advance and it may help to have knitted a few rows to begin with so we can dive right in to brioche stitches.
You will learn:
My favourite stretchy cast on for knitting in the round.
How to knit in the round avoiding a gap.
Two colour brioche stitch in the round.
Brioche Knit and Brioche Purl.
How to brioche increase and decrease.
Common mistakes and how to fix them.
You will need:
2 x 50g of double knit yarn in highly contrasting colours You can browse the double knit yarn here.
A 5mm x 60cm circular needle, It would be possible to knit this on a longer cable but you would need to be comfortable with the magic loop technique.
A stitch marker - Very Important!!! The large Coco Knits ones are lovely but a scrap piece of yarn will work fine.
A copy of the written pattern and instructions will be emailed to you separately.
Classes are limited to 6 people.
